Analysis of the specific common competences of the Degree Courses in Speech Therapy and on the ability to apply in the didactic systems

Law 11 January 2018 n. 3 places the attention of the Health Professions on the specific common skills, which must be evident in the didactic systems to protect the Profession. The purpose of this work is to identify which skills are always present among the training objectives of the Degree Courses in Speech Therapy, and which instead become "specific" for our profession. The data analysis was conducted on 27 Degree Courses in Speech Therapy present in Italy, using the portal "Universitaly" and evaluating the SUA cards of the various Degree Courses. Consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on children with a speech and language disorder and their therapy

Background The COVID-19 pandemic caused massive restrictions in our daily life. Kindergartens and schools were closed (lockdown) and children were forced to pause their therapy. Materials and Methods We conducted a survey during August and October 2020 and asked parents of children with a speech and language disorder about their child's therapy during lockdown and their fears and sorrows associated with it. Results Parents of 39 children participated (age: 6,15 years (3,06 - 10,09)). 34 children received speech therapy before lockdown. This therapy was paused for 17 children during lockdown. Objective The purpose of this study was to investigate a new diagnostic method that provides an approach to noninvasive, objective measurement of velopharyngeal movement by acoustic determination of epipharyngeal volume changes with velopharyngeal muscle function. Abstract In my paper I tried to emphasize the idea of communication as a process in which one's informative intention is made evident by coded or non-coded verbal and non-verbal means and in co-operation with other interlocutors. Furthermore, I presented some general goals of a communicative speech therapy and then demonstrated what kind of consequences they would have on the study of aphasic communication.
